My Writing

What can I tell you? I’ve dreamed of becoming a writer since before I even knew the alphabet. I didn’t learn to read until I was six or seven years old, but once I’d broken the code I went for take off and by the time I was ten I was sailing through Lord of the Rings in a matter of days. Reading is such a perfect way to learn, grow, and of course immerse yourself in the alternative reality of a story well told.

I’ll be writing about anything and everything. There will be some thinking out loud. Tales of how I’m (successfully and not so successfully) navigating mid-life. I’ll share my journey as I continue trying to find out who I am 'now'. I’ll post about things that I love or that inspire me. And all of that will be done through the lens of my being a survivor (just) of necrotizing fasciitis aka flesh-eating bacteria.

The Book - Hold My Hand: A Journey Back to Life

I’ve written a book about my experience of surviving and recovering from necrotizing fasciitis, aka a flesh-eating bacterial infection, that almost took my life. I’ll be sharing that chapter by chapter from May 1st 2025.

In addition to writing I'm an inspirational, energetic trainer / facilitator / coach, with over 25 years global experience in sales, operations, and in particular in building successful, enduring relationships between companies.

I've been fascinated by practical psychology, communication skills, storytelling, and people dynamics in business to business relationships for many years. I have extensive experience of developing high performing sales teams to support the growth / evolving needs of companies ranging from 100 to 40,000+ employees and consistently exceeding $B sales targets.

My experience has been focused across all aspects of the drug development lifecycle, having held roles in large pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, CROs (contract research organizations), specialized vendors and at a clinical research hospital site.
